South Carolina Reciprocal Membership Program

SC RecipMy Y is Now Every Y in South Carolina

The Y movement is for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

We want to encourage members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace, or in another region.

Now, Metro/Hartsville members have the flexibility to use other Y facilities throughout the state, at no extra charge.

Simply present your active YMCA membership card and photo ID at any participating YMCA and enjoy free access.

  • The Reciprocal Membership Program is valid for Metro/Hartsville members only.
  • Visitors to other Y’s must present a valid YMCA membership card and photo ID upon their first visit and complete a visiting member waiver or standard membership application form with liability waiver.
  • Metro/Hartsville members must use their home branch at least 50% of the time. Program discounts do not apply. Participating YMCAs reserve the right to restrict facility or program access.

*Hartsville or Metro members only will receive reciprocity. Because Darlington and Chesterfield rates are discounted, their members will not receive reciprocity. Darlington and Chesterfield members may upgrade to a Metro membership in order to receive reciprocity. This means a Darlington or Chesterfield member must pay a guest pass fee to use one of the other Ys in SC, but a Hartsville or Metro member does not have to pay guest pass fees to use any Y in SC. A Hartsville member will need to be checked in at our branches through the Reciprocity Check-in, but the Metro member will still be able to scan their card at all branches for entry.

Change A Life Campaign

For over 25 years, the YMCA of the Upper Pee Dee has been serving our community with programs and services that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.  As a charitable cause-driven organization, we work hard to serve all people regardless of age, race, gender or income level. We are able to help all people through YOUR generous support.  The 2012 Annual “Change a Life” Community Support Campaign provides financial assistance to children, individuals and families in need to ensure that no one is turned away due to inability to pay.  Our goal is to raise a very modest $60,000 this year.  I am personally asking … will you please consider a generous contribution this year to help your YMCA serve people throughout the entire Upper Pee Dee community? Our success will always be measured by the impact on lives we touch!

YOUR GIFT OF $50 Gives a grandmother raising her daughter’s child a week of Afterschool.

YOUR GIFT OF $100 Allows a brother and sister to learn sportsmanship, teamwork and character in Youth Soccer.

YOUR GIFT OF $200 Allows a fixed income senior to take Water Fitness for 6 months.

YOUR GIFT OF $300 Builds self-confidence and friendship through Tae Kwon Do classes.

YOUR GIFT OF $500 Ensures that 25 children in our community will learn to swim by taking Y Swim Lessons.

YOUR GIFT OF $1,000 Assures a single mom that she’ll have a place for her daughter at Day Camp all summer.

Our Y promotes an “Open Doors” program that offers financial assistance to those who could otherwise not afford our programs and services.  We count on the generosity of our members and the community to help people of all ages and from all walks of life be more healthy, confident, connected and secure.  When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in your own neighborhood.

Remember, your gift is completely tax deductible and will serve a great purpose in impacting the lives of others. Please contact me at 843-332-4547 or come to the Front Desk for a pledge card to contribute to this worthy cause.
